City Has 100 Officials for Echelon II

Jakarta Provincial Government has stock of 100 officials that will serve as echelon II . Those officials previously had gone through some tests held by Jakarta Employment Agency (BKD) with open selection and promotion. Most of them are on echelon III position and nonjob.
So Mr.Governor only chooses officals from the test. He calls it warehouse we call it talent pool
Head of BKD DKI stated those officials will not be placed on echelon II directly.
"We have more than 100 candidates for echelon II," he told, Sunday (10/25).
Saefullah Inducted Echelon-III & -IV OfficialsAccording to him, in choosing echelon II replacement, Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama will choose officials who had undergone the test.
"So Mr.Governor only chooses officals from the test. He calls it warehouse we call it talent pool," he told.
The talent pool is a group of professionals that predicted could serve on the position. Currently most of them are on echelon III. Besides that some of them are also non job civil servants.
"There are echelon III and also non job," he explained.
Agus said that State Civil Apparatus Laws (ASN) now is regulating potential officials that could be promoted with some requirements that have to be fulfilled. As for the old laws is about employment.
"Now they can be promoted directly with UU ASN. And the old laws gives comfortable zone for the officials. For instance, if someone has served as echelon II, they would be as it is until they retires. No way to be demoted. Unless there is law violation or charge of heavy discipline," he disclosed.
